Learning and Curriculum Primary - Stage 3

Marc McBride

Stage 3 students were treated to an inspiring and imaginative visit from renowned illustrator Marc McBride, best known for his work on the Deltora Quest series. With his signature flair and storytelling through art, Marc captivated students by demonstrating his illustration techniques and sharing insights into the creative process behind fantasy artwork. Students were thrilled to see characters come to life before their eyes and had the opportunity to ask questions about his career, inspirations, and artistic journey. It was a truly enriching experience that sparked creativity and encouraged budding artists to explore their own visual storytelling.

Science Presentations

Meanwhile, in celebration of Science Week, Mrs Chander has led a series of exciting and educational science presentations that have had students buzzing with curiosity. One of the highlights was the hands-on exploration of liquid nitrogen, where students witnessed dramatic demonstrations showcasing the properties of extreme cold. The sessions were packed with awe and wonder. These experiments not only entertained but also deepened students’ understanding of states of matter, temperature, and scientific observation.

Both events highlighted the power of creativity and curiosity—reminding us that learning can be magical, whether through the stroke of a brush or the swirl of nitrogen mist.
