The 2025 Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey is now open until Friday 19 September 2025. This survey is an important opportunity for families to share their thoughts and experiences with the school. It focuses on key areas such as school climate, how the school involves the community in learning, teaching practices that support student engagement and outcomes, and views on school attendance. Feedback from the survey helps the school understand what is working well and where improvements can be made. Logon details will be sent to families via Compass.
Regular school attendance is vital for student success. Everyday counts, and missing school means missing out on important learning opportunities. Consistent attendance helps students stay engaged, achieve better academic outcomes and build strong social connections. However, if your child is sick, it is important that they stay home to rest and recover, and to prevent the spread of illness to other students and staff. If your child needs to be absent, I kindly ask that you inform the school.
Charlton College is celebrating Book Week this week. This year’s theme is Book an Adventure. The highlight of Book Week is our dress-up day, which will be held on Friday 22nd of August. We would encourage all students and staff to come dressed as a character from a book or from the theme. On Friday morning during Advisory (9.00am) the students and staff will gather outside to see each other’s costumes. There will be prizes for the best dressed. We also invite P-6 parents to come into the Primary gallery after the Dress up parade to listen to a reading of a short-listed book and undertake some reading with the students.
