Welcome

In this edition of MY FUTURE Careers News, the Year 12 cohort is continuing to assess and decide on preferences for University and TAFE Entry in 2026. The VTAC session for students and parents was presented last week with fantastic attendance.
Students are encouraged to apply for their SEAS (Special Entry Access Scheme) as soon as possible as all applications received before 5 September will be assessed and applicants will be notified if further evidence is required. Students are also encouraged to apply for Scholarships via the VTAC process. I encourage all Year 12 students to make a time with me to discuss their options, which include contingency strategies should results not go to plan - timely applications for University entry close on 29 September 2025.
The Year 10 students commenced this term with a Pathways Program where they began the process towards completing their Senior Years at the College. The feedback from the students was highly positive, and I have had many follow-up conversations regarding their pathways and subject selection. Our annual Futures Expo followed this up. We had a fantastic turnout of students and their parents. They were able to speak to teachers about subjects, hear about the VCE and VCE VM pathways, find out the parameters for acceleration, speak to Universities and TAFEs. They have all now completed their subject selections for 2026. This occurred at a one-on-one Parent Student Interview in Week 3 with a member of the leadership team. Parents and Guardians should be very proud of how the cohort approached this essential process in their educational journey.
