Administration Officer

Personal Assistant to the Rector and the Oblate Community

Ongoing position commencing 20 January 2025

Full Time (44 weeks per year)

Administration Officers play an integral role in the daily operations of the school. The role is multi-faceted with duties and responsibilities across a range of areas.

Inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the life of St Eugene de Mazenod, the Mazenod College community focusses on educating and empowering young men to dare to make a positive difference throughout their lives and to the lives of others. Our Mission is to live, learn, lead and serve as a Catholic learning community within the Oblate spirit. Mazenod adopts a safety- first approach where safeguarding our community is paramount.

The Personal Assistant coordinates, organises and manages the day to day activities of the Rector and Oblate Community, ensuring a welcoming, quality, efficient and high-level administrative support. Given the breadth of the Rector role, this entails a wide range of responsibilities and demands flexibility and commitment to superior outcomes. The Personal Assistant plays a key role in representing the College and Oblate community to stakeholders and the wider community.

The Personal Assistant role also assumes administrative responsibility for the Oblate Community. It is a hands-on role and requires a high level of organisation and confidentiality while working closely within a team to ensure the pastoral needs of the community are served.

As a member of the College and Oblate support staff, the Personal Assistant must be supportive of the Catholic ethos. This role is expected to carry out all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate and contribute positively to the aims and objectives of the College’s Strategic Plan.

A creative, focused and organised individual with a positive attitude is required. Experience in executive support at a medium-large organisation is essential. Effective time management and communication is also key for this role, alongside tact, initiative and integrity.

Applications close midday December 8, 2024.

A role description and details about the application process can be found on the College website Employment Opportunities | Mazenod College Perth WA.
