Step Up Program

Wednesday 27 November to Thursday 5 November

A reminder to all Senior School families that our Step Up Program commences next Wednesday 27 November.

On Tuesday 26 November, students will have an opportunity to receive exam feedback from their teachers. If they wish to speak to a teacher from a class that does not run on Day 7, we strongly encourage them to reach out via Teams or email for this feedback and our teaching staff will work with them to find a time to provide this feedback. After lunch on Tuesday, all students will attend a Step Up preparation session, where they will receive a hard copy of their Step Up timetable and further instructions about the expectations for the Step Up program. They will need to have their record book for this session.

The Step Up program is an important part of our teaching program and classes will begin to cover content for the 2025 school year. This is a great opportunity for staff and students to begin to build relationships with each other as they meet in their new classes. Students joining us in 2025 are expected to attend and this is a wonderful opportunity for our students to welcome them to the College as well. As we near the final days of 2024, I understand that it can be a little bit harder for students to find the motivation for new learning and coursework. I seek your support in ensuring that our students finish the year strong, with a clear understanding of what learning for them in 2025 will look like. This will then allow them to rest and rejuvenate more fully without questions or worries over the summer break.

A reminder also that Monday 25 November is a Student Free Day for the College. Staff will use this day for marking and to prepare for their exam feedback and final reporting.

As always if you have any questions or need to speak with me, I can be contacted via email at arobertson@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au.
