Wellbeing

 - Miss Kristen Waldron

As we near the end of the 2025 school year, I reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us here and the exciting path ahead for our students and the newest Old Collegians.

The unwavering support of our community of families, together with the shared commitment by teachers to nurturing excellence, creates a unique environment for every student to learn and thrive.

On Wednesday night, we farewelled and celebrated the Class of 2024. In my address to the graduating class, I encouraged them to find time to thank their parents and families who have walked alongside them throughout the rollercoaster of Year 12 and the years that led to it. The collective support of families and College staff has been instrumental in preparing our graduates for their confident futures, and it truly is a privilege to be a part of this journey.

The small size of our amazing school means that we get to know students and parents very well, and it is always bittersweet to farewell families as they finish their time with College. I ask that the 25 graduating families for 2024 continue to keep in touch and pop in to say hello from time to time.

As our remaining students “step up” into their 2025 classes next week, we need to encourage them reflect on the lessons they have learned this year, particularly during the examination period. Going into the step-up period with a positive mindset will make a tangible difference to the start of the 2025 year. I urge each student to make the most of the remaining two weeks, ask questions of their new teachers, to engage fully in their classes and to embrace the new learning opportunities.

Personally, I can’t wait to start work with my new VCE PE class next week, and working together with their families to ensure we create the best possible environment where all students can reach their full potential.
