Real Illusions

Year 8 STEM Exhibition

Have you ever wondered if you truly see the world as it is—or as your brain wants you to? This thought-provoking question was at the heart of the Real Illusions unit, where our Year 8 STEM Extension students explored the fascinating world of cognitive illusions.

As part of this unit, students tackled the challenge: How do we, as neuroscientists, explain to the public how our brains work? Their solution? Creating an engaging and interactive museum exhibition showcasing illusions that reveal how our brains perceive and sometimes misinterpret the world around us.

The recent exhibition was a testament to their hard work and creativity, captivating our community with its thoughtful design, intricate details, and impressive execution. Congratulations to our Year 8 STEM students for delivering such an outstanding showcase!
