Congratulations to Chloe F: Winner of the Langston Award!
We are thrilled to share the exciting news that our very own Chloe F has been awarded the prestigious Langston Award, a competition organised by the Rotary Club to recognise the best all-round student among the seven local schools. This award celebrates not only academic excellence but also the diverse talents and skills of our students.
The competition involved a rigorous selection process where students were interviewed by a panel of judges and asked to demonstrate a talent or skill of their choice. The event culminated last Monday night, where each finalist presented a speech and a performance to showcase their abilities.
Chloe took the stage with confidence as she spoke passionately about her love for poetry. She captivated the audience with an original poem that she composed herself. Her recitation was assured, fluent, and left a lasting impression on everyone present. It was clear that Chloe’s love for literature and her talent as a poet shone through in her performance.
As a result of her outstanding achievement, Chloe was awarded the Langston Award along with a $300 scholarship to assist with costs associated with beginning high school. This recognition is a testament to Chloe’s hard work, dedication, and the remarkable abilities she possesses.
We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Chloe for this well-deserved accolade! Your achievement inspires us all, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you as you continue to pursue your passions in high school and beyond.
Well done, Chloe! We are proud of you!
Roselea Choir
The Roselea Choir had the pleasure of performing at the Chatswood Concourse on Thursday November 7th as part of the massed Choir for the Epping District Music Festival. They sang nine beautiful songs involving alto and soprano parts that they had worked hard on all year. Singing with 350 other students was a very special musical experience. Being in a prime position to watch all the other amazing items including the Roselea Contemporary Dance Group was another exciting part of the night.
Then two days later the Choir also entertained the crowds at the Twilight Fair, singing a couple of their favourite songs, Try Everything and Mambo Italiano.
Congratulations on your hard work and excellent results choir!
Thank you also to the parents and carers who support the students so well and made this possible.
