STUDENT LEADERSHIP 2024

“The greatest craftsman is not defined by the number of tools in their toolbox, but by their mastery of the ones they have” – Anon

Throughout this year we have had many opportunities for our school leaders to step up an complete a range of different activities. It has been a wonderful experience working with our young leaders and seeing them grow in confidence.

How easily they have taken up the challenge to try new things, to speak at assembly, to assist on our special event days, to join in with whole school activities, to model and mentor younger students.

Above all how easily they have demonstrated our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. Showing these traits, skills and actions through interacting with peers, teachers and the wider community, it makes us all proud of the students we have here at Upwey South.

If you are a student leader, well done and thank you for the dedication you have shown throughout the year. What will next year hold for you. What will the coming years of your education look like? If your child has been a student leader in 2024, be proud of the person they are. They have support the continual growth of our school and they have done a terrific job.

In our next (and final) newsletter of 2024, we will hear from all our student leaders. I will also be announcing the roles that will be available in 2025 and the process of election / selection.
