Learn what opportunities our students have been taking on
Last week, Maddie Carracher, 2025 School Captain, represented St Brigid's at the Horsham Remembrance Day Service, laying a wreath on behalf of our community. At the College, students and staff paused to reflect and remember those who fought for our country. W observed a minute silence at 11am. Lest we forget.

Our students have been busy in the Technology subjects recently! Year 8/9 Foods students learnt new skills when they made pasta this week, and Textiles students are starting to complete their projects. Year 7 Woodwork students have been refining their skills and Year 8/9 Art Elective students are bringing their clay creations to life!
Year 9 Outdoor Education students have been developing essential first aid skills in class. They practiced treating snake bites in preparation for the upcoming summer, learned how to perform CPR, and how to use a defibrillator. Students engaged in realistic scenarios where they assessed and applied the 'DRSABCD' action plan as needed. A special thank you to Natasha from Mallee First Aid for donating the equipment that allowed our students to practice these vital, life-saving skills for their own safety and the wellbeing of the community.
Last Friday, students from the Year 8/9 'Camera-less' Photography class proudly hosted an exhibition showcasing their semester's work.
Using innovative, camera-less photographic techniques, they not only created the artworks, but also planned and executed every aspect of the exhibition. Students planned the presentation of the artworks, taking into consideration the ergonomic factors of the space, and installed all of the pieces. They created all promotional material, information plates, maps, catalogues and individual invitations for parents and guardians. The exhibition was officially opened by Year 9 student, Cooper Myers, and students then guided guests through the space, explaining the creative process they used when creating their works.
Congratulations to the students for their work in creating a top-quality exhibition to share with families and St Brigid's staff!
Take a look at a walk-through of the Year 8/9 'Camera-less' Photography students' recent exhibition! Students used innovative techniques to create unique artworks, and then planned and executed all aspects of the exhibition. Well done!
