Assistant Principal Report

The last few weeks have flown by since I joined the Highvale Primary School community, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It’s been wonderful getting to know all the students and families, and I look forward to building even stronger connections in the weeks ahead.

In the final weeks of school, students will be busy not only enjoying festive holiday activities but also participating in our whole-school swimming program and the Life Education program.

Life Education

This week, students were thrilled to welcome Healthy Harold the Giraffe and the educators from Life Education, who provided them with vital life skills related to health and wellbeing. 

Each year level explored a different topic tailored to their age group, ensuring the lessons were both relevant and meaningful. 

Whole-School Swimming Program

This week, students across the school began their swimming lessons, and with many family activities happening near waterways these school holidays, the program comes at the perfect time to develop their swimming skills and understanding of water safety. 

The students have been having a wonderful time engaging in fun games and activities designed to enhance their confidence and abilities in the water. 

On swimming days, students tend to use up more energy and may feel hungrier, so packing an extra snack and ensuring they drink plenty of water is a great idea. It’s been fantastic to see their enthusiasm and progress as they learn these vital life skills.
