Our Excursion to Werribee Zoo!

On Monday, our 1/2 students had an excursion to the one and only Werribee Zoo! It is very safe to say that we had an amazing time watching all the animals and exploring new habitats.

We began with a long bus ride full of excitement and energy. When we got off the bus, we were transported to a world very different from our own. All of a sudden, we were surrounded by monkeys, buffalo, meerkats, and even...lions!

We met some inspiring zookeepers who taught us all about wallabies, and even got some spyglasses out to see them from afar. The highlight of the trip was the incredible safari bus, which took us to the lower savannah plains and got us metres away from zebras, giraffes, ostriches, and even the cutest baby rhino!

This was definitely a highlight of our year in 1/2. What a fantastic way to come to the end of the year. We have some amazing inspiration for our own habitats that we are making in the classroom. If you are available on Monday December 9th, you can come and check out our Habitat Expo!
