Primary Sub School News

Sub School Leader: Michelle Davies

Hi everyone

As we begin to wrap up another incredible school year, we can take a moment to reflect on the growth, dedication, and achievements that have defined this year. From inspiring lessons to memorable moments with students, your hard work has made a lasting impact on our school community.  Sincere thanks for all that you do!

A huge thanks to everyone for bringing the festive cheer to the Primary corridor!  It has been lovely to see all of the students’ creations.

I have included a few updates and reminders about upcoming events in our final few weeks of 2024!

Week 10 – PLCs

Our final PLCs of Term 4 will recommence in Week 10.  This will be a great opportunity to discuss and reflect on the year as well as look towards 2025.  This time of reflection allows us to celebrate the academic, social, and emotional milestones that our students have achieved, thanks to your continuous efforts. It's also an opportunity to consider successes that we can carry forward to our new teams to empower your students to take ownership of their learning journey.

Curriculum Day (13.12.24) – a great opportunity for us to reflect on a hugely successful year and look ahead to 2025.

Week 11 - Transition to 2025 Classrooms

The transition to new classrooms involves not only adjusting to a different physical space but also building new routines and fostering relationships with different students and staff. Effective communication, collaboration with colleagues can help ease this process.  Thanks to everyone who has offered opportunities for staff to drop off resources etc.  The new 2025 class lists will be shared with families this week!

Classroom Team Meetings

Please continue to complete your Student Profiles. These are to be uploaded on Xuno by the end of this week.  Please could you place printed copies in my pigeon hole by Friday this week so that I can organise these into class groups ready for Curriculum Day.  Please let me know if I can support in any way.

Observations

Thanks to everyone for your proactive approach in seeking out information on your new students and arranging a time for observations.  Please let me know if you would like to observe specific students and I will support as needed.

PDP Submissions

PDPs should now have been submitted. If you have yet to complete this, please ensure they are finalised immediately. Leadership will be reviewing these over the coming weeks, so thank you for your hard work in documenting your goals and achievements for the year.

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for all your hard work and dedication. Your commitment and effort make a tremendous difference, and I truly appreciate everything you do. It's a pleasure working alongside such a talented and supportive team.

Thank you again for all that you contribute!

Warm regards,

Michelle
