Business Managers Victoria 2025 VMIA Professional Learning Award
On Thursday 15 May, our Business Manager, Maddie Helleren, was awarded the 2025 VMIA Professional Learning Award at the Business Managers Victoria Statewide Conference. Maddie received this award for the innovative way she has implemented a formal Student Resource Package - Fortnightly Meeting Agenda based on professional learning and her experience that allows us to regularly complete an extensive data driven review of the school's budget and staffing costs. As a part of the award Maddie received $10,000 to put towards further professional learning to continue to develop herself. This is a wonderful achievement, congratulations Maddie!
Uniform Update – A New Chapter Ahead
We’re excited to announce an important update to our college uniform. From the end of this year, we will begin transitioning to a new uniform supplier, PSW, with the full change taking effect for our 2026 Year 7 students. Informed by feedback from students, families and staff, the new uniform will feature refreshed designs and improved materials aligned with our updated branding.
As part of this change, our onsite uniform shop will close, and PSW—located less than 4km from the school—will take over all uniform sales. PSW offers greater convenience, including extended trading hours, Click & Collect, and home delivery.
A two-year transition period will allow current students to wear either the old or new uniform until the end of 2027. Remaining stock of the current uniform will be discounted from Wednesday 11 June, and SSB funds can be used towards these purchases until 30 June 2025. Extended uniform shop hours will apply throughout June.
Please see the attached letter for full details, including feedback received, transition timelines, sale pricing, and key dates.
Cyber Safety Project – Building Safe and Savvy Digital Citizens
On Monday 2 June, our Year 7–10 students took part in engaging and thought-provoking sessions with the Cyber Safety Project. Founded by educators and digital wellbeing experts, the Cyber Safety Project empowers young people with the knowledge and tools to make safe and responsible choices online. Their sessions focused on helping students navigate the online world with confidence, covering topics such as online reputation, digital identity, and strategies to manage screen time and cyberbullying.
These presentations strongly align with our school’s commitment to equipping students with the skills, values, and dispositions they need to thrive in a rapidly changing and interconnected world. As part of our broader wellbeing and digital literacy priorities, it’s essential our students understand how to be safe, respectful, and ethical participants in digital spaces.
In addition to the student sessions, our staff also took part in a professional learning session with the Cyber Safety Project team at the end of the day. This session provided valuable insights into the challenges young people face online and how we can best support and guide them both in and out of the classroom.
We thank the Cyber Safety Project for their valuable contribution to our school community and look forward to continuing our partnership with them in 2026.
