PALM SUNDAY at Our Lady Star of the Sea

Last Sunday our school community united with the parishioners to lead and celebrate Palm Sunday. The Pope Francis students, as well as other students from Year 5 and 6, led a beautiful, faith filled mass and we all had such a special morning. This is the start of HOLY WEEK and many families from our school community were able to share in this event. Father John encourages families to come along to mass this week and participate in the most holy week of the liturgical calendar.

POPPIES under construction

Thank you to all the wonderful mums and grandmothers who came along to assist with making a “Poppies” for each student. Mrs Petrovski and her crochet students were able to assist in the construction of 420 poppies (we are almost there)

Sunday is family time!

It is time to restore the sacredness of precious FAMILY TIME. Our Catholic tradition identifies SUNDAY as a day of gathering to worship and breaking bread together. Would you like to celebrate and re-connect with your family? Here is the perfect opportunity!

Come to Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Miranda Parish at 10:30 am then enjoy lunch at a local Italian restaurant in Gymea- FIOR. This local establishment is offering children free dining on Sundays. For reservations phone 02 9534 220 or book online here.

Easter

I wish each of the families at Our Lady Star of the Sea a peaceful and joyful Easter and holiday. May the Risen Lord bring about renewal for all and that families are able to unite together.
