YEAR 3

FROM THE CLASSROOM

Welcome back Year 3 Families. It was great to see our lovely students back and ready to learn. We certainly heard about some great adventures over the holidays, yet we can tell they were eager to come back to school.

We began our week revisiting our routines and expectations. Students will be able to tell you all about the expectations when using a whiteboard, how to conduct a fluency pair correctly and the expectations when lining up inside and outside the classroom. Our Year 3 classes also begun learning their new Talk 4 Write text Students Should Be Allowed to Bring Their Pet Walrus to School. Some students have investigated the benefits and drawbacks to bringing a support animal to school. A great dinner time conversation might be asking, which animal would be best to bring to school? In Mathematics students begun working with arrays to solve multiplication and repeated addition number sentences.
