QGSSSA Artistic Gymnastics Championships
In a championship performance building on the success of 2025, Clayfield College’s gymnasts delivered a display defined by precision, composure and team unity at the 60th edition of the QGSSSA Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
A defining moment came in Session 1, where the Year 7 team claimed the Championship Pennant for the first time in a decade. This achievement signals the strength of the program not and into the future. In true championship fashion, the result was decided in the final round and final routine, with athletes rising to the moment and delivering under pressure.
Across the competition, Clayfield’s depth was on full display. Gymnasts from all divisions produced consistently high-scoring performances, reflecting the preparation, discipline and unity of the team. Equally impressive was the number of students competing in gymnastics for the first time or stepping outside their primary sport, demonstrating composure and a willingness to embrace the championship stage.
The standard of competition reached exceptional heights, with 11 perfect 10.00 scores awarded, of which an extraordinary nine belonged to Clayfield College.
These moments of excellence, combined with the collective spirit of the team, captured what defines Clayfield gymnastics, strength, composure and a deeply connected culture of distinction.
