'Together Everyone Achieves More'
Welcome back to a brand-new school year, and happy New Year to our wonderful Cowwarr community! We hope everyone enjoyed a refreshing holiday break and is feeling excited and ready for the year ahead.
2026 is already shaping up to be an exciting year of learning, growth and connection. We are thrilled to welcome back our students and families, and we also extend a very warm welcome to our new students and staff joining the Cowwarr team. We truly love what we do, and we are proud to work together as a team where everyone plays an important role in supporting our students to thrive.
💚Together Everyone Achieves More.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated and passionate team supporting our students this year:
Mr. Peavey – Sport
We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead, working in partnership with families to support every child’s learning, wellbeing and success 🌱💫
This term, our focus will be on explicitly teaching and reinforcing our expected behaviours across all areas of the school. In Term 1, students will be learning what these expectations look like in all spaces, helping to build consistency, safety and a positive learning environment for everyone. We thank our parents and families in advance for their ongoing support in reinforcing these expected behaviours at home and in our community.

🌈 Weekly Timetable

On our first day back, staff took part in professional learning alongside our colleagues from Loch Sport, Bundalaguah and Buchan Primary Schools in Bairnsdale (The Academy), as part of our Wellington Network collaboration for 2026.
Throughout the year, this work will be supported by Penny from Data Wise, who will work with us through whole-staff professional learning and targeted leadership coaching. Our shared focus will be on using data collaboratively to strengthen planning, refine teaching practice and continue to improve outcomes for all students.
Regular school attendance plays an important role in supporting student learning, wellbeing and connection to school. If your child is absent or arriving late, please ensure this is recorded through Compass or by contacting the school directly. In line with Department policy, staff will follow up any unexplained absences to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students. We thank families for their continued support in using Compass to notify absences and helping us maintain strong communication between home and school.
