Class Information
It was wonderful to see all the Foundation students demonstrate resilience over the last couple of weeks whilst undertaking swimming lessons and the school Athletics day. Students participated in a variety of activities at Athletics, and we were all extremely proud of them.
SWIMMING
A reminder that swimming lessons will continue to take place on Thursdays in Week 7, 8, 9 and 10.

BOOK WEEK
Our Book Week Parade & Dress-up will be held on Tuesday 25th of August. Students are invited to come dressed up as a book character on this day. The Blurbs will also be performing in the Liborius Centre at 9:30am.
MISS BINNS MATERNITY LEAVE
We wish Miss Binns all the best as she begins her Maternity Leave with her final day being Friday 21st of August. We wish her and her family all of the very best as they welcome their new little one.
FOUNDATION LEARNING FOCUS
Literacy
Students are learning about:
- The letters and sounds ‘sh’, ‘qu’, ‘ee’, ‘z’, ‘zz’,
- Reading and writing CVC words and sentences
- Identifying words and letters
- Reading and writing tricky words ‘all’, ‘call’, ‘ball’, ‘tall’, ‘little’, ‘go’, ‘so’, ‘no’, ‘this’, ‘then’
While writing, the students are learning about reports and learning to use connector words
Mathematics
Students are learning about:
- Addition and subtraction - Quantities can be combined and separated to form new quantities.
