BULLYING NO WAY! WEEK

2026 theme: Small Acts, Big Impact

Next week is Bullying No Way! Week. This year’s theme reminds us that actions don’t need to be big to change someone’s world. Small actions, like including someone, speaking up or showing kindness, can create meaningful change. In our school, our goal is to build a community where everyone belongs, diversity is celebrated, and bullying is never accepted.

During Bullying No Way Week, our students will be completing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL curriculum) and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) lessons that focus on being an upstander, showing kindness and acceptance. On Thursday 20th August, students are encouraged to wear a touch of ORANGE.

Book Week Parade – Wednesday 26 August

Symphony of Stories

Our annual Book Week Parade will be held on Wednesday 26 August at 9:00 am on the basketball court (weather permitting).

This year's Book Week theme is a 'Symphony of Stories', recognising that every book, character and reader contributes to the wonderful soundtrack of reading.

Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character. You might like to take inspiration from one of this year's shortlisted books or, as we count down to our first-ever school musical production, create a fun Seussical-themed costume!

We can't wait to celebrate the joy of reading and see everyone's creative costumes.

Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge

It has been wonderful to see so many students making great progress towards completing the challenge.

The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge closes on Friday, 5 September 2026, so there is still plenty of time for students to continue reading and recording the books they have completed. We encourage families to support their child's reading at home by setting aside time to read together each day and ensuring completed books are added to their Reading Challenge record.

Congratulations to all students who have already completed the challenge, and best of luck to everyone working towards this fantastic achievement!
