Year 12 has entered  the last weeks of formal lessons after the Trial Exams, and staff are using the Trial results to shape final HSC preparation. Please encourage your child to reflect on their exam performance to identify both strengths and areas needing improvement; to assess whether challenges in time management or specific topics were evident, and help them adjust their study routine accordingly. A well-balanced study timetable can be beneficial, allowing more time to address weaker areas while maintaining their strengths. Active revision techniques, such as summarizing notes, practicing past papers under timed conditions, and participating in study groups, are also effective. Additionally, remind them to integrate regular breaks and exercise into their routine to stay focused and manage stress. By refining their approach now, they will be better positioned to achieve their best possible results in the HSC. Students in Dance (Distance Education), French, Drama, Industrial Technology and Music have all been assessed , while HSC practical markers are yet to visit for Design & Technology and Visual Art.

Yr 11 reminders

As Year 11 students approach their final term, maintaining focus and commitment is crucial. With end-of-year exams on the horizon, it's an ideal time to establish a structured study routine. Encourage your student to allocate specific times each week for revising each subject, employing various study methods such as practice exams, note summaries, and group study sessions. The final report for this year is particularly important, as it plays a significant role in university and job applications. Supporting your child in persisting through these final weeks with determination will help them build a strong foundation for future opportunities.

2026 Timetabling

Subject selections made by those intending to return to study Stage 6 at the College, along with other relevant data, were the basis for the recent Transition Interviews. The finalised selections are now being used to begin 2026 timetabling. Stage 5 elective choices, for students in Years 8 and 9 will occur in Week 9 of this term.
