Slime Time

Year 7 Science

Year 7 Science classes begin with the study of laboratory safety, experimental procedures and writing practical reports. Students are able to work safely in the lab, identify the components of a fair experiment and write detailed practical reports.

To demonstrate their learning from this unit of work, the students were tasked with the job of identifying which slime recipe makes the most elastic slime. Students worked in pairs, followed scientific method to make different slimes and test the slimes elasticity. It turns out that the pink slime was the most elastic with the slime being able to stretch to over 2m in length.

Well done to all of our students for conducting themselves in a safe and responsible manner.
