Year 3/4 News

Over the past three weeks, our Year 3/4s have been busy engaging in various enriching activities across different subjects. Here's a glimpse into what they've been up to.

Reading

In our reading sessions, the focus has been on developing visualization and inferring skills. Through various texts and activities, students have learned how to use text clues to infer and create mental images while reading. 

Writing

Our budding writers have embarked on the journey of planning their persuasive texts. They've been exploring the structure of persuasive writing, and brainstorming ideas to support their arguments. Additionally, they've completed a word wall to aid them in expanding their vocabulary and expressing their thoughts more effectively.

Maths

In maths, they’ve utilized the data collected on shoe sizes during the maths hour and applied it to create graphs. Through this activity, they've gained hands-on experience in interpreting data and representing it visually.

STEM Program 

As part of our STEM program, students collaborated to plan and construct a lander. They worked together to solve problems, think critically, and unleash their creativity while simulating a real-world scenario.
