From the Principal's Desk...

Dear Parents and Caregivers

It was wonderful to come together as a school and celebrate the life of St John Neumann in our Neumann Liturgy last week. Thank you to the Neumann staff and students who prepared and lead the liturgy.

How amazingly colourful and awesome was last Friday's Colour Run! A huge thank you to the P&F and Jane Tolczyk for coordinating the day. A big thank you to all the helpers on the day as well, in setting up, assisting during the event and afterwards in packing up. The oval was in puffs of colour and all the students had a great time! Thanks to our staff too for your support of the event. To all those who raised monies, thank you for your efforts! Come along to our next P&F Meeting and hear about all the great community events planned and on what we will be spending the monies that we raise on in the school.

Classroom Teachers will be shortly reaching out to our parents/caregivers to organise parent/teacher interviews to discuss the progress of your child's learning journey. I would like to reiterate our home/school partnership that we continue to promote and foster at St Helena's Catholic Primary School. It is directly related to our Vision for Learning - Pillar Two: Collaboration (Community). At St Helena’s, we value staff, students, parents, caregivers, parish and the wider community working together to support each person to become the person God intended them to be.

I urge all our parents/caregivers to ensure they lock in a date and time offered by the teachers so that you can hear the celebrations of your child's learning, as well as discuss individual student goals moving forward. Thanks in anticipation to our teachers for their efforts in preparing for these parent/teacher interviews to ensure that we work together with all our families for the best interests of the students in our care. If there are parents/caregivers wanting to touch base with a particular specialist teacher, please do not hesitate to arrange a meeting time with them also.

Take the time to check out some of the community events/sessions coming up in Ellenbrook, which may be of interest to you. Check out the Community Updates section of our eNewsletter to see what is happening and when.

Families with siblings seeking a place in our Kindergarten in 2025 at St Helena's are reminded to ensure that you have sent in your enrolment applications to Administration.

Hope to see many of our families at this Friday's P&F Welcome Sundowner from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Don't forget to RSVP on the P&F News page with the link. Thanks in advance to our P&F Committee for planning and organising the Sundowner. A great opportunity to come together as a school community!

Keep in our prayers the Year 6 students and those in the Parish who had their Confirmation Enrolment Masses recently. We also keep in our prayers the Year 3 students and others in the Parish preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, with Reconciliation Enrolment Masses on the weekend of the 16 and 17 March.

At St Helena's, we are a Christ-centred and a child-focused community, always striving to do Something Beautiful for God.

Peace & Happy Days!
