Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to all students for their outstanding participation, remarkable behaviour and active involvement at the Junior School Swimming Carnival held last Friday at the Kinross Wolaroi Swimming Centre. The day was packed with races for students from Year 2 to Year 6 with many students racing for their very first time. It was heartening to witness such a strong display of House spirit and excitement especially during the House chants.  A special thanks is extended to the staff, students and parents who assisted in organising and ensuring the event's success. Your unwavering dedication and effort were instrumental in making the day enjoyable for all participants.

Junior School device program

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in classrooms is crucial for enhancing student engagement and facilitating personalised learning experiences. As part of the Junior School Device Program, Year 1 and Year 4 students have received brand new devices. Year 1 students now have access to an individual iPad and Year 4 students have their own loan laptop for learning in the classroom. Parents and students in these year groups attended an onboarding session and device distribution on Tuesday 6 February in the Junior School Glasshouse facilitated by Mrs Myrri Fatai, Leader of Technology and Innovation and the technicians from Colton Computer Technologies.

In an initiative for 2024, Year 6 students are now permitted to take their 1:1 Junior School Loan Laptop home overnight to support home learning activities. They can use the Hub to open unit resources and assignments, and easily access any of our online platforms such as Mathletics, Typing Club and Canva.

The Junior School device program allows teachers to integrate multimedia resources, interactive tools, and digital platforms into student learning which fosters a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that prepares our students for the technological demands of the modern world.
