Principal's Message

Mrs Kaileen Carr

Congratulations to the Country Fair Committee. The Country Fair was a fabulous day. To all those who attended thank you for coming and supporting our school. It is a great fundraiser for our school and we will let the community know in the coming weeks what the school will buy with the proceeds.

School Photos - Just a reminder that we have school photos on Tuesday 5th March. Students are to wear school uniform.

All students who play a musical instrument at school, please bring in your instrument for a school photo. This includes band and recorder group. This photo will be taken at approximately 9:10am.

We have noticed over the last week that some unacceptable behaviors are happening across the school. Commencing Monday 4th March (week 6) we will be having a blitz across the school relating to Being Safe at school. This includes students keeping their hands and  feet to themselves, running on the concrete and being in the right place at the right time.

All executive staff will be out in the playground each day and all incidents will be followed up.

I will speak to the students at Monday mornings assembly about what the expectations will look like for the week.

If your child is spoken to about:

  • Running on the concrete - they will be asked to sit for 2 minutes outside the Library supervised by an Assistant Principal.
  • Not keeping their hands and feet to themselves - they will attend a reflection session with me in the hall.
  • Not being in the right place at the right time - they will spend 10 minutes of their playtime with me in the hall.

We would appreciate your help over the week to reinforce the school expectations of being Safe.

A note will be coming home regarding an online game called Rumbles Quest which the school is purchasing to measure our student well being. Students from years 1 to 6 will complete the quest. Please read the note and if you do not want your child to participate, please advise the school. This data will not provide the school with individual student responses.
