Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

It has been a challenging week of events across the region, and our thoughts go out to families that have been impacted, either directly or indirectly by the recent fire activity. We have been most fortunate to date and have not been directed to close or relocate. I sincerely thank families for their patience and understanding as we navigate our way through this unpredictable time. If your family has been impacted in any way, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Sarah Bigmore for further support.

School Council Elections

Nominations for our 2024 School Council are being called. We would love some new School Council members to join us this year.

Self-nomination forms are available from our office and are open until Friday 1st March.

Should there be more nominations than vacancies, a ballot will then commence over the course of the following fortnight to establish the final membership.

Please consider nominating and joining a vibrant and active group of volunteers, who provide wonderful governance for our school community.

Assembly

We welcome our school community to join us this Friday at 2:30 pm for our School Assembly.

Stay safe and take care,

Kylie Nissen.
