  •  Many lunch boxes are being left in the yard out in the sun. It is your responsibility to remember to collect and bring home.

The SRC today read and discussed the student safety policy.  CHILD SAFETY POLICY

Class teachers please give time in your class meeting this week to share.

What can we improve

 on this week:

  Class                     Actions

There are too many soccer games in different areas- play soccer in level games in your area

5/6Each level has an area to play a soccer game. So that everyone enjoys their time outside we all need to follow the expectations. If you need support go and talk to the teacher on yard duty

Lining up and getting a drink, going to the bathroom before going into class

Every classSRC would like to suggest that we re introduce the “5 minute  music” before the bell rings for end of lunch and end of snack

No climbing up the slide- teacher on yard duty will give one warning and then call for the yard book.

NO TAG on the adv playground

No throwing tan bark

Waiting your turn

Every class

The adventure playground is a lot of fun and can be very busy!!

Senior students will be reminding you of the expectations and to keep playing safely

 Suggestions from the SRC

  • Senior students would like to visit junior classrooms and revisit playground expectations so that everyone is playing safely.
  • “5 minute music” before bell is  to be played- this reminds everyone to stop playing, get a drink, go to the bathroom and line up
  • Some new board games for the senior classes when it is hot/wet day program

Safety issues from the SRC

Moving on the stairs- up on the left, one at a time, holding the rail if you need to and down the right side. Always moving safely!

             "Caught being Good!" certificate

Students from Prep to Year 6 are nominated each week by the SRC, student leaders and staff for demonstrating positive behaviours. Examples from our PBL Matrix include: being welcoming, safe, resilient, kind, responsible and respectful and also demonstrating that they are “ready to learn” and by setting an example for other students to follow.

PBL Matrix

Nomination slips can be found next to the “caught being good” box outside the office

or given to Mrs Antonella by Thursday lunchtime.

Certificates will be presented to students at assembly.

Congratulations to all the students who will be “Caught Being Good!” this year!
