Hello everyone and welcome back to the school year.
The PFA is once again starting with a bang, so we have few updates for you.
For those new to the school, you will have probably heard that Port Melbourne is famous for our amazing community spirit. All the events run by the PFA help to foster and grow that community spirit each year. We hope you can get involved in events by attending or volunteering!

The Parent Hub
The Parent Hub is where all events and products are sold from. Please make sure you:
- are registered for the Parent Hub
- have updated your child's class for the year.
Every year you need to update your child’s class. Please make sure you have the correct information as this is what we use to deliver food orders (i.e. sushi, party pies, hot cross buns) to the right class. Please update ASAP!
2023 Yearbooks
If you ordered a Yearbook in the extra run last year, you can collect it from the school office from Monday.
School Picnic
When: Thursday 29 February from 5.30pm
Where: PMPS
Weather permitting, we will be hosting a Welcome School Picnic on Thursday 29 February. Please bring a picnic, a rug and enjoy an evening with our wonderful school community. It will be a great chance to get to know some new people or reconnect with old friends.
Colour Run
When: 15 March, 3:45 – 7pm
Where: Garden City Reserve
The Colour Run is great fun! Students have a blast running around the obstacle course while getting doused from head to toe in different colours. It’s a great opportunity for the kids to have fun and for parents to socialise. There will be house points to win! Tickets are on sale now via the parent hub.
Icy Pole Days
When: Every Friday in Term 1
Where: Gym kitchen
Cost: Gold coin
Icy poles will be sold every Friday through term 1, starting from Friday 23 February. We will be selling from the kitchen hatch, with a special classroom delivery service to the prep classrooms before lunch. Please send a gold coin in with your child on Friday mornings. Due to time, we will not be able to offer change or let your child choose a flavour.
PFA meetings
First PFA meeting
When: 22 February, 7pm
Where: North Port Hotel
The PFA will be having its first meeting of the year on the 22 February. Please come along if you are interested in getting involved or just want to hear more about what we do over a pub dinner and a drink.
AGM - new members welcome
When: 21 March from 7pm
Where: PMPS staff room
We will have our AGM on 21 March where we will elect the Official Committee roles and those who wish to be PFA committee members will formerly sign up for the year. We welcome anyone to come along and get involved. A few people are moving on this year, so we would love to see some new faces!
Second Hand Uniform shop
When: Friday 23 February from 8:30-9:15am.
Where: Classroom facing the oval (Clark St entry, closest to corner of Poolman St)
The next Second Hand School Uniform shop will be open on Friday 23 February. We also sell brand new House T-shirts.
Donations of clean, current and 'in very good condition’ items of PMPS Uniform would be appreciated.
