Throughout the week, our school community gathered to mark Holy Week through a series of reverent and meaningful liturgies led by each year level. Holy Week is the most significant time in the Church’s calendar, and it is always so special that we are able to be at school together to share in this sacred journey.
From Palm Sunday to the events of the Passion, students helped bring the Scripture of Holy Week to life through prayer, scripture, story, song and reflection. Each liturgy provided a special opportunity for us to pause, come together in faith, and deepen our understanding of Jesus’ journey.
These moments of gathering allowed us to deepen our faith, reflect on the significance of this sacred time, and prepare our hearts for Easter. We thank our students and staff for leading us so beautifully in prayer.

This week, I had the opportunity to attend the Indigenous Network Day at the Dharnya Centre - a place rich in culture, history, and connection to Country.
The day began with a welcoming smoking ceremony, grounding us in respect and understanding as we gathered on Yorta Yorta land. Throughout the day, we engaged in guided walks, spent time along and on the river, and were immersed in stories, culture, and deep listening.
It was a meaningful time of reflection, prayer, and spiritual connection, offering space to consider how we continue to grow in our understanding and embedding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our curriculum and school life.
We are grateful for this experience and look forward to continuing this important journey together as a community.

Please keep our sacramental candidates in your prayers as they continue their journey towards receiving the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday.
This is a special time of preparation, reflection, and growth in faith for our students. As a school community, we walk alongside them, supporting and nurturing them as they deepen their relationship with God.
We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with them and their families.
Holy Week in our Parish & local churches: We invite you to participate and share in some of these rituals with our community.
We pray for Joy, Piper & Sam, along with the candidates from St. Anne's and other schools in our area.
