Creating Digitally Responsible Citizens

Do you know if your child is staying safe online?

Do you know if your child's personal information, photos and or social media identity is currently safe?

It is important to understand the risks and know how to protect your child's safety online. The eSafety Commissioner provides the following tools to support you and your family in navigating online safety (links provided below).

Canvas Support

Thank you to those new families who attended the Canvas/Compass evening.

If you missed the evening or need more help understanding how to support your child with Canvas, please contact Mrs Courtney Freebody freebodyc@ww.catholic.edu.au to make an appointment either face-to-face or via Google Meet. A recording of the evening will be available on Compass in the coming weeks.

Digital Citizenship and the Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement

Safer Internet Day was on the 11th February 2025 and in support of this day, our community started online safety conversations.

As a part of this day, our students signed the CEDWW Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement (AUTA). Homegroup teachers worked through each dot-point with our students to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities when using technology. Discussions were also started regarding social media use and students' screen time. Generating a conversation with your child in regards to the AUTA may also be beneficial in supporting your child with using technology safely.

Further information can be found in the Canvas Student Hub.
