From the Year 6 Classroom

Dear Parents and Families,

We are already halfway through the term, and our Year 6 students have been busy with exciting learning experiences and leadership responsibilities. Here’s a look at what’s been happening!

Learning Highlights

  • Writing: We are refining our persuasive writing skills, learning how to build strong arguments and engage our audience effectively. We are continuing our work on The Ghost in My Suitcase, exploring its themes and characters.
  • Maths: This week, we have been investigating prime, composite, and triangular numbers.
  • Religion: Last week, we had the opportunity to join the parish Mass, deepening our connection with our faith community.

Reminders

  • Reading Diaries: Please ensure diaries are brought in on Friday to have reading signed off. We recommend 4-5 nights of reading for at least 20mins.
  • Upcoming Events: Opening School Mass, Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and School Photos.

We’re looking forward to another great week ahead!

Warm regards,

 Year 6 Team
