Term 1

2025 Concord School Student Representative Council

Congratulations to all students who have been elected by their peers to the 2025 Concord School Student Representative Council!

The first SRC meeting of 2025 was held in Week 3.  The students received their badges with pride. We discussed how  important it is for the SRC representatives to uphold theschool expectations of:

  • Be a learner
  • Be respectful
  • Be responsible
  • Be safe

The students brainstormed ways they can do this in the classroom, on the yard and out in the community.  All SRC representatives are looking forward to a productive year and they already have great plans for Concord School!

Safety and Supervision

A reminder to all parents and carers to please be mindful of driving in areas around the school, particularly in peak times such as before and after school. The bus loops at the front of each campus are open for pick up and drop off outside of the bus times, with a speed limit 10km/h. Please also be aware of Gleeson Drive at Bundoora Campus and Meagher St at Watsonia Campus and the congestion that can occur during the peak pick up and drop off times. Being mindful of the local speed limits, School Zone 40km/h speed limits and parking options will enable a safe environment for all our school community.

I would also like to remind parents and carers that Concord School’s grounds are supervised by school staff from 8:45am until 9:00am. Bundoora campus offers an early drop-off at 8:30am in the Gym only, with students moving to the yard at 8:45am when staff are on duty.  We encourage you to contact TheirCare for more information about the before and after school care facilities available to our school community if you need your child to be dropped off earlier than when supervision commences.

Our top priority is the safety of everyone around our school and thank you for your support with this.
