Dear Families,
Excitement is in the air as we prepare for our Advent Concert this Friday evening!! We look forward to having our facilitator Drew Lane work with our students throughout Friday so we are ready to perform on Friday evening. Students can dress up in Christmas outfits! The evening starts at 6pm and will be on the oval. The evening will finish just after 7pm. There will be food trucks and perhaps a visit from Santa.
BYO chairs picnic rugs food (NO alcohol) and Christmas Cheer! The back gate will be open. Please be patient and careful when parking, mindful of all community members particularly our young students!!
The Parish is also holding their Carols on 14th December after the 10.00am mass. All families are invited to join in this special event.

Congratulations to Zahra Ung who is representing Victoria in softball this week in NSW. Good luck for the next few games coming up!!
First Holy Communion and Opening of the New Church Renovations
This weekend we continue our First Holy Communion Masses, a very special time for our students and their families. Celebrations will continue this week with Mass on Saturday at 6:00pm and Sunday at 10:00am.
At the 10.00am Mass is the official opening of the newly renovated church. We warmly welcome all members of our community to join us for these joyful occasions.
GEM Awards
This week Elly in grade 6 won an empathy award for always being kind and considerate to her classmates and for having a positive attitude with everything.
Lenny from grade 4 also one a gratitude award for the friendly and fun way he interacts with others making them feel included.
Foundation Transition Continued
Yesterday we continued our welcomed our 2026 Foundation students . the students settled well into school life while Miss May checked some of our new parents mathematic skills. They passed the test!!!
Lunch with the Principal
Another successful Principal’s Lunch was held yesterday, with over 20 students choosing to participate and celebrate their positive attitude toward learning and school. We congratulate all the students who were recognised for consistently demonstrating our school values. Well done!
2026 School Advisory Council
We have vacancies for parent representatives to join the School Advisory Council (SAC) in 2026. There are 6 meetings to attend across the year, usually held on a Tuesday from 5.30pm - 7.00pm (approx) at the school.
The role is to essentially work together to support, discuss and advise the principal about school matters. Also to work together in unison with our parish. Should you wish to express your interest please email Andrew on amullaly@sjvmulgrave.catholic.edu.au by Friday 21st November.
F-2 Swimming Program
Next week we continue the Foundation to Grade 2's. The program will run everyday except for Tuesdays. This program is a compulsory part of your child’s education at St John Vianney’s School. Your child will travel to the pool by bus with their class and classroom teacher to Aquastar Swimming located at Haileybury College, Keysborough.
Pyajama Day St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal
Our Mini Vinnies team will begin collecting non-perishable food items to donate for St Vincent de Paul. Wear your pjayamas on Tuesday 25th Novemebr and bring some food items.

Get into the festive spirit and support our school! We’re selling delicious Lemon Tarts and Mince Tarts – perfect for Christmas entertaining or gifting.

A big thank you to Bakers Delight, a wonderful supporter of our school over the year. Orders open today on CDFpay and close 4th December. All tarts will be delivered to school ready to pick up from Tuesday 9th December.

Camp Australia will operate from 1pm, but you must be booked in.
