KEEPING UP APPEARANCES:

LATEST BEAUTIFICATIONS AROUND THE SCHOOL GROUNDS.

Indigenous Garden:

Work commenced this week (27th - 31st October) with two former students who work for Ecology & Restoration Australia (ERA), Kai Lane and Taj Lane.   The objective has been there since 2018 to have this area set up and Stage 2 has finally been achieved.

The aim is for the plants to fill this area and to add information labels to identify the plants and their significance to indigenous culture.   Additional structures will be developed with students in the near future.

BUILDING WORKS around the School Grounds over the Term holidays:

As mentioned a couple of weeks ago in my report, Kerang Technical High School has undergone extensive building works over the Term 3 school holidays. A lot of concrete work, completion of the Shade sails and Ramp program.  More importantly the completion of the Technology Heating/electrical program which included a new Submain at the front of the school.   This should now future proof the school for any further developments and prevent power dropouts at peak times.  The continual improvement of the physical surroundings has always been a priority of mine as it connects the students to their learning and encourages students to take pride in what we have at this school.

FINAL FAREWELL TO OUR FIRST GRADUATING KTHS VCE VM CLASS:

As our final farewell to this group, the students completed some improvements to leave their lasting mark on the school community.

They freshened up the Four-Square area and added a much welcomed gate on Burgoyne street to support car parking access.

They thank Mr Smith and Tim Dingwall for all their support in these final activities.

We wish them all the best with their future endeavours. Most have work already which they will begin next week. Well done to all.

A big thank you shout out to Ms Michelle Sutcliffe who has supported the VM students through 2025.
