PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Year 12 Exams Begin with Confidence:
This week marked the start of the Year 12 exams, with students beginning their assessment with English. It was encouraging to hear the positive feedback from many of our students, who shared that they felt well prepared and confident after the exam.
The strong start has provided a real confidence boost as they continue through the remainder of their exams in the coming weeks. We are proud of their efforts to date and wish them all the very best as they complete the rest of their exams.
Year 7 (2026) Parent Information Evening:
Parents of students who will be starting Year 7 in 2026 attended an informative session led by Ms Ferrier this week. The evening provided valuable insights into preparing for the transition to Secondary school and what to expect on the first day at KTHS.
Technology was front and centre throughout the presentation, with QR codes giving parents easy access to forms, resources, and key information. The session aimed to make the transition as smooth and well-supported as possible.
A big thank you to Ms Ferrier for her thorough and engaging presentation, and to the parents who attended. Remember, if you are unsure about any aspect of the transition process, you can always contact the school for support or clarification.
Junior Boys Table Tennis Regional Competition:
Our Junior Boys represented KTHS at the next level at the Loddon Mallee Regional table tennis competition this week. The team faced some exceptionally strong opponents and found themselves up against players who gave very little away. Despite their best efforts, KTHS managed to secure just one match win for the day.
It was later discovered that some of the opposition teams train regularly at the Bendigo Table Tennis Academy — up to four times a week! Regardless of the tough competition, our boys gave it their all, showing great determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Well done to the team for their positive attitude and commitment. You represented KTHS with pride.
New Staff Member:
I would like to introduce to the our KTHS Community, a new staff member, Melissa Hocking.
Melissa is the new Science Laboratory Technician she comes to the school with high credentials and has worked in schools previously. On behalf of the school, I would like to welcome Melissa to KTHS and look forward to working with her.
