Dear Parents and Friends,
It has been a wonderfully busy and exciting term as we look ahead to our end of year activities. Our students continue to shine, through learning, community engagement and their care for one another.

Today our 2026 Foundation students enjoyed their final transition session. We have loved welcoming them over the past three Thursdays — they have certainly felt like “big school” kids while they’ve been here!
These sessions have helped children meet new friends, explore their learning spaces and practise routines like listening to instructions and sitting on the mat. They have also given us a wonderful opportunity to support their social, emotional and school-readiness skills.
We are delighted to announce that Lauren Eccles will be the Foundation teacher for 2026.
The Australian Government is introducing new online safety measures by delaying access to social media for children under 16.
By 10 December 2025, accounts held by students under 16 will be ‘frozen’. We ask for your support as we work together to keep children safe online.
More information is available through the eSafety Commission website Social media 'ban' or delay FAQ | eSafety Commissioner.

Thank you to all families who have joined our Walking School Bus adventures! The morning chatter is a wonderful way to start the day.
A friendly reminder that students riding scooters or bikes must ride safely on the footpath, especially near driveways. Thank you for reinforcing this at home.
This term our Year 3–6 students have been learning Literacy through Novel Studies, where reading, writing, spelling, grammar and comprehension are all taught through a shared class novel.
Student comments say it all:
“My brain is hurting… because I’m learning so much!”
“We are working harder but I’m learning so much!”
Our TheirCare team launched a wonderful initiative called WeCare! where students worked together to support the RSPCA. They earned stickers by showing kindness, listening, caring for others, cleaning up without being asked and being creative.
They reached their goal quickly, well done to everyone involved!
Student reflections:
Riley: “I felt proud that I was being kind to others so we could raise money. We couldn’t have done it without teamwork.”
Sarah: “We all supported one another and got on really well. It was fun raising money for a good cause!”

MACS has introduced a new Medical Management Plan across all schools.
All medications, including pain relief and hayfever medicines — must be listed and the plan must be signed by both parents/carers and a doctor.
Families with current plans will receive updated forms soon. Please ensure forms are completed and returned by Day 1, 2026. If you require a plan, please contact the office.
A copy of the Medical Management Plan is attached below.

For the next few weeks of term we are asking families to create their own Christmas snowflake to decorate our school.
Snowflakes are unique collections of ice crystals. Did you know they are always six-sided? They are translucent, not white, but they appear white due to the light scattering off their surface. A snowflake's final design is a result of its journey through the atmosphere. Temperature and humidity determine its shape and complexity.
The snowflake artwork can be a drawing, textile piece, painting or a sculpture. The materials you use can’t be purchased, you may however beg, steal (as long as you ask) or borrow the materials you need. Please try to use things you already have at home.
The Christmas snowflakes are due the week beginning Monday 1st December. This is so that all the snowflakes can be displayed during the final days of term. All snowflakes will need to be taken home by the children during the last few days of term, week 11.
Task rules
Enjoy making your family snowflake. W we can’t wait to make St Brigid’s sparkle ready for Christmas.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support of our beautiful school community.
