Parents & Friends' (PFA)

Hello to all our lovely St Anthony’s community; what a year it has been!

Firstly we would love to thank our two outgoing PFA Co-Presidents, Naobh Deka and Kate Buick.  Thank you for your dedication, hard work, support and cheer during the year.

We are still looking for a new President or two Co-Presidents for 2026 so please do put your hand up if you’d like to lead us next year.

We would also like to thank our Class Liaisons and their commitment to the events they were assigned, along with their ongoing communication throughout the year.  We trust seeing the enjoyment their efforts brought was rewarding for all.

We have had wonderful input and support from a small but dedicated group of parents who always turn up and go above and beyond to ensure our children and community benefit from the special environment we have here at St Anthony’s.

When reflecting on the year, it became clear that the PFA is not only about fundraising, but its most important function is to create opportunities for celebration and connectedness.

Financial support to the school

We are pleased to advise in 2025 the PFA  assisted the school to purchase the following:

  • Murals
  • Italian Day Gelato
  • Library Books
  • Laptops

We would like to thank the business owners within St Anthony’s school community who have shown such generous support this year - The Bank (Goudie family), Hahn Hairdressing (Kim Family) and Bashful Designs (Elena Kelly’s lovely jewelry).   We hope the school community can support the businesses who have supported us. Shop local!

Finally, the PFA committee would like to give thanks to Margaret Carlei.  Her commitment to our children and school is tangible. Her stamina, good humour and work ethic is an extraordinary example to us and to our children. Margaret truly embodies the values of empathy, respect, inclusion and excellence and has led our school with a deep and sincere Catholic faith.

Margaret has been tireless in every aspect of our school – she was at every event, at all hours as well as undertaking with great professionalism and compassion the role asked of a school principal.

Margaret, your legacy of love and putting our children at the forefront of all you do, will be a constant reminder of your time here. We thank you and wish you all the joy and peace in the next chapter of your life.
