   Assessment Dates

2026 ASSESSMENT DAYS

To begin the 2026 year, all students will take part in formal assessments which will inform teachers of the necessary information to support students in their learning.

The purpose of the session is for the teachers to conduct a one on one assessment of the student’s English and Mathematics’ skills. It is essential that every child has their formal assessment completed at this time as the results will be used by the teachers to guide their planning and teaching.

Years Prep - Four students:

Wednesday, 28 January and Thursday, 29 January 2026 have been set as assessment days for Years Prep - Four students.

The students will then start school on Friday 30 January 2026.

Years Five - Six students:

Year Five & Six students will have their assessment on Wednesday, 28 January only and will commence school on Thursday29 January 2026.

For the assessment, each student will need to attend school for only ONE testing session:

  • Sessions for Years Prep - Two will last one hour
  • Sessions for Years Three - Six will last thirty minutes

Information about the assessment days has been shared with all parents via a form - Assessment Days - Start of 2026 - in the nForma Parent Portal App.

We ask that parents/guardians please open this form, click on the link for the appropriate grade and choose a time slot for their child's assessment by Tuesday, 16 December 2025

Once a time has been selected, please click the checkbox, I have read the information about the 2026 Assessment Days at the start of 2026 and have selected an assessment time for my child/ren.

Prior to school commencing in 2026 parents/guardians will receive an email confirming their child’s assessment time.

Please note:

  • Drop your child to St Anthony’s office area at least 10 minutes before their scheduled time.
  • Years Prep - Two sessions last for one hour.
  • Meet your child in the office area after their session.
  • Children do not need to bring anything with them.
  • Children do not need to wear their school uniform for this assessment.

The results from the Assessment Days will not be shared with parents at this stage as they will be used as a starting point for teachers to monitor students' growth. Parents will be contacted if the teacher has a concern not previously discussed with you.
