Noticeboard

Firstly, just a quick intro, I’m Anna and I’m Kit (Gr 5B) and Joey (Gr FB) Hedley’s mum. 

I’m also the executive producer of Born in a Taxi, an arts organisation that’s been going strong in Melbourne for 35+ years now. 

Taxi are running a show, called The Butterfly House, at the Melbourne Zoo to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of their Butterfly House in December. The show also offers interactive components such as an installation, workshops and roving around the precinct, as well as scheduled performances, and children are also offered caterpillar host plant seedlings at the end of their time with the work. So it’s a multi sensory offering. 

Part of the project is using used chip packets to create ‘butterflies’. The packets will be used in workshops with kids and their butterfly creations will then form part of the installation across the weekend. 

 I was hoping that the students could collect their empty chip packets to bring to  school and save them from the bin and put them in the box located at the office thanks for helping us out!
