LIBRARY NEWS
As we near the end of the school year, Library books will need to be returned as soon as possible. The due date is Friday 28th November. This enables me to sort, weed or repair books, establish what needs to be replaced, as well as complete many Library administration tasks.
If you have an overdue book that you cannot find and you have communicated with me, please continue to look, as we find a lot as we tidy up in December. If I have had no communication from you, please email me if you think it has been returned, so that we can search the classroom and Library too.
Your children will still be welcome in the Library for Library Club and Library class to read our "December books", but the main shelves become off limits and borrowing ceases in December.
Over the next couple of months, please encourage your children to keep reading to keep up their reading stamina. It is just like your physical stamina and if you don't keep reading, you lose your reading fitness.
Please visit your local public library, swap books with friends, visit an Op shop to find a bargain or even go online to find an eBook or an audio book.
eBooks and audio books can be borrowed from the Public library, and your family will have access to the following resources that the school pays for: Redelearn and World Books Online are information resources and StoryBox Library and Redebooks provide Storytime books or eBooks.
You can access Redebooks through logging onto Redelearn and explore all the Redback publishing books that can also be bought as hard copies.
All log on details were sent out via COMPASS in Week 7.
Happy reading!
