Interschool Sport Competition

We’re pleased to announce that the Newlands teams for Term 1 Interschool Sport have now been finalised. This year we had a very high level of interest, with 92 students trialling for only 55 places across bat tennis, softball and basketball. 

Congratulations to all students who participated. The standard was high, and selections were not easy.

If your child has been selected, the permission form will be sent shortly via Sentral.

Students will compete in weekly fixtures beginning Friday 13 February, gaining the chance to build skills, work as a team and represent Newlands in our community.

All matches run from 11:30am–1:00pm, with Specialist teachers supervising at venues and on buses. Families are welcome to come and support our teams. Please see schedule below as well as on Sentral Calendar.

• Round 2 – Fri 20 Feb - Newlands vs Coburg North – All games at Newlands
• Round 3 – Fri 27 Feb - Coburg West vs Newlands – Bat Tennis & Basketball at Coburg West PS; Softball at Shore Reserve
• Round 4 – Fri 6 Mar - Pascoe Vale North vs Newlands – All games at Pascoe Vale North PS
• Round 5 – Fri 13 Mar - Newlands vs Pascoe Vale – All games at Newlands
