Year 11 Media and Design ATAR excursion to Murdoch

Year 11 ATAR Media and Design students recently attended an excursion to Murdoch University, where they participated in a day-in-the-life experience of a creative university student. Throughout the day, students engaged in hands-on workshops designed to build practical skills directly relevant to their Media and Design courses. These sessions focused on industry-style processes and techniques that will support students as they move into Year 12, particularly in preparation for their practical examinations.

Gifted and Talented Visual Arts Program 2025

This year, the Gifted and Talented Visual Arts students at Applecross Senior High School participated in a series of enriching Saturday workshops led by practising artists and artisans. These sessions offered students hands-on experience across a diverse range of disciplines, from traditional fine art to contemporary practices. Workshops included Fashion Design, Sculpture, Resin Jewellery, Oil Painting and Drawing Masterclasses, Sculptural Ceramics, Textiles, Photography, and Graphic Design.

The culmination of these creative explorations was proudly showcased in the Annual Exhibition, where students presented their final works to the school community. The exhibition highlighted not only technical skill but also innovative thinking, reflecting the depth and breadth of experiences gained through these workshops.
