Individual Portraits & Sibling Photo Packages

Pre-ordered individual portraits and sibling photo packages have been delivered, and the distribution process has begun.

 

  • Junior School: distributed by class teacher, for students to take home.

  • Years 7-11: distributed by PCG teacher, for students to take home.

  • Class of 2025 (Year 12): ready for collection at Main Administration, at Graduates' convenience. 

 

Sibling/family photos

  • If the oldest sibling is in the Class of 2025 (Year 12), the sibling photo package will be given to the next eldest sibling to take home on behalf of the family.

  • For all other students, sibling photo packages will be provided to the eldest sibling to take home. 

 

Didn't place an order for a photo package?

  • Even if your son didn't have his photo taken, a small, personalised 'bookmark' with his unique access key was produced for him. 

  • These 'bookmarks' would also have been distributed through his class/PCG, for your son to take home. 

  • Graduates from the Class of 2025 (Year 12) who didn't have a photo taken can collect their personalised 'bookmark' from Main Administration.

 

Changed your mind, and would like to order photos?

Families are offered a ‘second chance’ option if they missed out on ordering photos.

 

  • Step 1: Find your son's unique access key - this is on the personalised 'bookmark' he would have received (if you need help, call the College).
  • Step 2: Scan the QR code on the linked poster below or visit the Photo Hendriks website, then click 'Order School Photos'.
  • Step 3: Enter the unique access key, select your preferred photo package and finalise your order.  
  • Step 4: Await your delivery - the photographers will send your order directly to you.

The display of works was outstanding and showcased the breadth and depth of skill, imagination and creativity. Auxiliary News

As the year comes to the close with the many, many events that parents and students attend, it is timely to thank the many volunteers that have assisted the Auxiliary in support of these events across the year. 

 

At our recent AGM we thanked Cara Little and Cherie Murdoch who completed their terms on the Auxiliary committee and welcomed Catherine Stubbs as Secretary and Amina Shah as our Junior School Vice president. Together with Heidi Allison, Julia Sertorio and Tamara Gray as committee members, we are looking forward to 2026 and all things Auxiliary. 

 

In preparation for 2026, we are seeking new general members to join us. General members attend meetings and assist with planning for our events, without the additional role of an executive committee member.  Meetings are held on Monday mornings at 8.30am at the college, twice per term and we are looking forward to having junior and senior school parents join us. Please feel free to be in contact with me if you are interested. Our first meeting is Monday, 2 February at 8.30am.

Social Media Restriction Legislation 

From 10 December 2025, new Australian Government legislation will require social media platforms to prevent users under the age of 16 from creating or maintaining accounts. This significant reform, introduced under the Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024, is designed to enhance the safety and wellbeing of young people online.

 

The Act aims to strengthen online safety and reduce exposure to online risks, including cyberbullying, grooming, and the pressures of social media engagement. The eSafety Commissioner will regulate compliance and has developed a suite of resources for educators, parents, and young people to assist with the transition.

 

At a minimum, the government has confirmed the following platforms will be included under the new restrictions:

  • TikTok

  • Instagram

  • Facebook

  • Snapchat

  • X (formerly Twitter)

  • Reddit

 

Other social media platforms may also be subject to these requirements, depending on their features and intended use.

 

What the New Law Means

 

  • Social media platforms must take reasonable steps to block or deactivate accounts held by users under 16 years of age

  • The legislation applies to age-restricted platforms; those primarily designed for social interaction and user-generated content.

  • The responsibility for enforcement lies with the platforms, not with users, families, or schools.

  • The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and the eSafety Commissioner have issued guidance to support compliance, data handling, and privacy requirements.

 

Reporting Online Abuse

 

Students and families are encouraged to report cyberbullying or harmful online behaviour through the appropriate channels:

  • Report to the school, and

  • Report directly to the social media platform involved

 

If the matter is serious and not adequately resolved, it can be escalated to the eSafety Commissioner for further action. Incidents involving the non-consensual sharing (or threats to share) nude or sexual images are classified as image-based abuse. If such material is used for coercion or blackmail, it may constitute sexual extortion (sextortion). Guidance on responding to these incidents can be found in the Toolkit for Schools: Responding to Image-Based Abuse.

Practical Steps to Take Before the Change:

  • Exchange contact details: Encourage children to share phone numbers rather than social media handles.

  • Save important content: Back up photos, videos, and posts before account changes take effect.

  • Review account settings: Export data and ensure backups are enabled.

  • Shift online habits: Begin reducing time spent on social media and use messaging apps instead.

  • Stay connected: Set up group chats or friend lists through non-social media platforms.

  • Model healthy digital habits: Talk as a family about the benefits of stepping back from social media and connecting face-to-face or through other means.

     

At Trinity College, we strongly support these changes as a positive step toward protecting young people online. We encourage families to discuss healthy digital habits and balanced online engagement. While this transition may present some challenges, we believe it will ultimately empower our students to manage their online presence responsibly and foster meaningful, real-world connections beyond social media.

Enrolment Fees

In seeking to fulfil a ‘Spirit of Stewardship’ in effectively managing school resources, the College continually examines all aspects of fees, funding, charges and expenses. In such a large school this is an ongoing challenge.  As part of this ongoing analysis, comparisons to like schools are also considered. After many years of no adjustment, the College has decided to adjust the Enrolment Fees for incoming students. 

 

The Enrolment Fees for students where the fee is paid on or after 1 January 2026 will change as follows:

  • From 1 January 2026 the Enrolment Fee will increase to $3,000.  This will include TOBA Membership.  For students currently at the College and those who have paid the Enrolment Fee prior to 1 January 2026, the TOBA Membership fee has been and will continue to be charged in Year 12.

  • There will no longer be a sibling discount applied to the Enrolment Fee, i.e. the Enrolment Fee for all students (including siblings) will be $3,000.

     

As previously stated, the College is making these adjustments subsequent to a comparison with other similar schools and after consideration of the impact on parents.  It should be noted that the College’s Enrolment Fees for a first child enrolled, and siblings is considerably lower than most PSA schools.

 

Parents of children currently at the College who want to pay the current Enrolment Fee for siblings at the current fee (for siblings) of $1,315 will need to complete the enrolment form and pay the required fee before the end of this year.  Parents wanting to do this should email the College’s Registrar registrar@ trinity.wa.edu.au requesting the Enrolment Form. 

The offer of enrolling siblings in this manner is subject to a successful interview process after payment of the Enrolment Fee.  As such, the College reserves the right to reject the application and refund the fee should it be considered that the student is best not enrolled at the College.
