From the Principal Leader

Dear staff, students, parents, carers and friends of Chisholm,
The end of the year is fast approaching and we have so much to celebrate together as a community.
The Importance of Advent
As we enter the season of Advent, our community at Caroline Chisholm College is invited to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ at Christmas. In the busyness that often marks the end of the school year, Advent offers us a much-needed opportunity to slow down and focus on hope, peace, joy, and love—the four themes that guide this sacred time.
Advent reminds us that waiting is not passive but purposeful. It encourages us to look forward with expectation, to cultivate stillness amid activity, and to recognise God’s presence in the everyday moments of our lives. For our students, it is a time to consider how they can bring light to others—whether through acts of kindness, service, or simply offering encouragement to those around them.
This season also strengthens our identity as a Catholic learning community. Our liturgies, prayer opportunities, and classroom reflections during Advent connect us to a tradition that stretches across centuries and unites us with the global Church. As we journey together, we are reminded that faith grows strongest when it is shared.
As we approach Christmas, may the spirit of Advent inspire all of us—students, staff, and families—to live with renewed gratitude, compassion, and hope. Let us embrace this season as a chance to reflect on the year that has passed, prepare for the year ahead, and celebrate the gift of Christ’s love in our community.
Creative Arts Showcase 2025
Thank you to all our amazing students who submitted their art works for the Visual Arts display and those students who performed in Dance, Drama and/or Music. The standard of students in these courses was absolutely phenomenal to say the least. We are so appreciative of the families and friends of Chisholm who were able to attend and support their daughters and their love of Creative Arts.
Thank you to the amazing creative arts staff for your dedication and commitment to these subjects ensuring students are able to continue to excel and exceed expectations.:
Mrs Belinda Pranjic (Creative Arts Leader of Learning)
Mrs Brooke Hughes (Assistant Leader and Dance teacher)
Mr Louis Cassel (Drama teacher)
Mrs Sara Lemaire (Drama teacher)
Ms Jodie Cusack (Art teacher)
Ms Sarah Eyles (Creative Arts Teacher)
Ms Felicity Wood (Creative Arts Teacher)
Ms Vanessa Wall (Music Teacher)
Mr Richard Caws (Music teacher)
I would like to also acknowledge the IT Team led by Mr Mathew Beatty for their incredible work supporting all facets of the Creative Arts evening, enabling it to be a success for our students Year 7-12.
Congratulations and thank you once again to all who performed and to all who came along to support our Chisholm students as the audience. Without your continued support your daughters would not be able to thrive and flourish as they do!
During this very busy time leading up to Christmas, I hope you wil find the time to relax and enjoy moments of celebration for the wonderful year we have enjoyed in 2025.
Continued blessings as we await the birth of Christ and the hope this brings to our hearts and homes.
Mrs Tania Cairns
