Principal's message

Education Week Open Day

Last Wednesday, we were thrilled to open our doors and welcome families, friends, and community members for NSW Public Education Open Day, a cherished tradition that celebrates the strength, diversity, and excellence of our public schools.

NSW Public Education has a long and proud history of providing inclusive, high-quality learning for all students, and Open Day gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase what makes our school so special.

This year’s theme, “Ignite Your Potential,” inspired our students and staff to reflect on what drives them, in learning, in creativity, and in community. It was a day full of energy, curiosity, and connection, all of which reflect the spirit of public education in NSW.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students, staff, and families came together to celebrate this special day. Thank you to everyone who participated, visited, and supported our school. Your involvement helps nurture a community where every child can find their passion and pursue it with confidence.

Together, we are building a future where every student can shine.

St George Performing Arts Festival (SPAF)

I had the pleasure of sharing the wonderful success of our school’s participation in the St George Performing Arts Festival, held on Tuesday. This much-loved annual event brings together schools from across the St George area in a celebration of talent, creativity, and community spirit.

Our school choir captivated the audience with their powerful harmonies and heartfelt performance. Their voices came together beautifully with choir students from other schools, demonstrating not only musical skill but the joy of singing as a team. Their presence on stage was a proud moment for all who have supported their journey.

The Senior Dance Group delivered a dynamic and polished performance that lit up the stage. With sharp choreography and impressive acro moves, they impressed with both their technique and confidence. Months of dedication and rehearsals paid off in a performance that was full of energy and cheered on by the audience.

Not to be outdone, our Junior Dance Group charmed the crowd with their vibrant routine and infectious enthusiasm. For many of these students, it was their first time performing on a big stage, and they did so with courage, joy, and undeniable talent. It was a heartwarming reminder of how performing arts can inspire even our youngest learners.

Participating in the St George Performing Arts Festival is about more than just performance, it’s about building confidence, teamwork, discipline, and a love of the arts. Our students have worked incredibly hard, and we are so proud of the way they represented our school with passion and pride.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, Mrs Krivacic and Mrs Dalton in leading and supporting the choir and dance groups, as well as to our families for their continued encouragement and support.

We look forward to more opportunities to celebrate and showcase the incredible talent in our school community!

Raising Concerns

We are committed to resolving concerns promptly, so it’s best if you let us know about your concerns as early as possible.

For most matters, your child's teacher is the best person to raise your concerns regarding your child. For administration concerns or software access, the office staff are best to resolve these. For some matters it may be appropriate to raise your concerns with the Assistant Principal or Principal.

Talking about concerns can be the best way to start resolving them. Sometimes you may be asked to put your concern in writing, including details of the concern and what you would like to happen as a result of raising the concern.

Our staff will find a time to talk to you when they can give you their full attention. Please remember that while our staff are in class or dealing with other matters, they may not be available to answer your questions immediately. It is important all communication between staff and community is respectful.

If you are able to attend our Book Week Parade on Wednesday morning, join in the fun and dress up!
