Welcome back everyone!
We’ve had a busy and exciting start to the term in the Kangaroo Room!
To kick things off, we explored the beautiful text Somebody’s Land as part of NAIDOC Week and created an amazing Dreamtime-inspired painting (see below!). We also enjoyed sharing and writing about our holiday adventures — from trips to Mansfield to fun movie outings, it was wonderful hearing all the stories.

In Mathematics, we’ve been learning about prepositional language like beside, under, and next to. Our Foundation (Prep) students have been working hard on numbers to 20, while the Grade Ones have been revising odd and even numbers, using addition strategies, and ordering two-digit numbers from smallest to largest.

Just a quick reminder — an email has been sent out about our upcoming 100 Days of Foundation (Prep) celebration, which we’ll be holding next Friday, 8th August. There will be a special assembly at 3:00 pm, and we’d love for you to join us if you’re available.
