Prep Guy

Welcome back everyone; I hope you had a lovely break with your gorgeous children. This week we have been revising all letters and sounds, blending those sounds to make words and writing sentences with uppercase letters to begin, spaces between words and ending punctuation. We have been learning to use the comprehension strategy predicting, using the title and pictures to help us. We have enjoyed learning about NAIDOC week with all sorts of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander projects. In Numeracy we have revised all numbers to 20, looking at reading, writing and making numbers to 20. We have also been revising addition and subtraction strategies. In digital technologies we made Aboriginal flags using Word in the computer room.

We loved celebrating 100 days at school.

One/ Two Murphy

Welcome back to Term 3!! We have a super busy term, and we are looking forward to lots of fun and learning.

  Our Learning

As we are now in Term 3, we are placing the responsibility on students to be more prepared when it comes to their learning. Students know our daily routine, and know they need to come prepared to class with their reader bags, diaries and even something as simple as their drink bottles. They know it is their responsibility to change their readers daily. They are learning to transition quicker from subject to subject and know what behaviour is expected of them in class. We are fostering their Independence, and it has been pleasing to see in our first week back how well they are starting to do this.

In Literacy, this week we have been looking at lots of different Indigenous books to celebrate NADIOC Week. We are also building up our writing stamina, so we can write longer.  ✍️✍️

In Numeracy, we now focusing on a variety of  Math topics in a week. Here we are learning to share equally into a given number of groups.

Friday - Special Share Day

On Friday's we will now be having special share day, this will be replacing the daily show and tell. If your child has something special they would like to share with the class or a special story they would like to share, we will be doing this now on a Friday.

Something special could be a photo they want to tell us about, or something they have been given, they would like to share. They do not have to bring something in, just if they would like to share.

Student Achiever Awards

This week's Student Achiever is Logan. Well Done Logan, you have been an Amazing helper, and you have been a good role model to your class. You have shown Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. 🤩
