'Together Everyone Achieves More'

Welcome back to Term 3, Team!

Can you believe we’re already in Term 3? The year is flying by, perhaps because we’re having so much fun at school!

We’ve had a fantastic start to the term, and it’s been great to see everyone returning refreshed and ready to dive back into learning. Term 3 is often one of the most productive times of the year, when all the hard work from earlier terms really starts to come together.

Whilst term 3 is a short term with only 9 weeks, we have many different events/excursions booked in for the term. A friendly reminder that Compass is our main platform for communication, updates, and sharing important events. Please ensure you're connected so you don’t miss any key information. If you have any questions or are having trouble accessing Compass, feel free to speak with Lianne on Mondays or Tuesdays, and she’ll be happy to help get you connected.

Celebrating National Tree Planting Day

National Tree Day is a special event held across Australia each year to inspire people to connect with nature through tree planting and environmental activities. It’s a day to celebrate the vital role trees play in our environment and to contribute to a greener, healthier future.

Today, our students headed over to the Rail Trail to take part in another fantastic tree-planting day alongside our local Landcare group. This annual tradition is always a highlight! The students take great pride in returning each year to check on the trees they’ve planted and to see the positive impact they’re having on the Cowwarr community. It’s a meaningful and hands-on way for them to give back and care for their local environment.

Wood Fire Raffle Winner

Thank you to the 'Edwards' family, Dave and Bron, for donating the wood for our Wood Fire Raffle. Your generosity and support of the school is greatly appreciated. On Friday, Emma had the pleasure of drawing out our lucky winner!!

Congratulations to the winner:Karen Felmingham

Parent & Teacher Interviews

It has been wonderful to meet with students and parents this week as we kick off our Parent and Teacher interviews. These meetings are a great opportunity to reflect on growth and celebrate achievements. We strongly encourage students to attend and be part of the conversation about their own learning journey. There are still spaces available for next week if you would like to take up the opportunity to speak with you young person's teacher.

Bookings can be made via Compass. If the available times don’t suit, please don’t hesitate to contact the school to arrange an alternative appointment.

Gumboot-a-thon

Next Friday the 8th of August we will be hosting our annual Gumboot-a-thon fundraiser. We’re thrilled to be holding our annual Gumboot-a-thon and even prouder to be supporting A Better Life for Foster Kids an incredible organisation making a real difference in the lives of young people. Please see the Gumboot-a-thon tab for more information

Holiday - Long Service Leave

I wanted to let you know that I will be taking long service leave from Monday 11th August to Friday 22nd August to enjoy a special family holiday. This will be my first big family holiday, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to spend this time with my loved ones.

I’m truly grateful to our wonderful Cowwarr team for their support in making this time away possible. I leave knowing the school is in excellent hands. Miss Bortoletti will be Acting Principal during my leave, and she will be your main point of contact for any concerns or celebrations over the two weeks.

Thank you again for your ongoing support. I look forward to returning with lots of stories and fresh energy!
