Alternate Programs

Dan Garner - Assistant Principal Alternate Programs

Term three is rushing past, and we are almost at the halfway point already. The days are getting longer and the mornings warmer, which is always helpful for getting ourselves to school each day. Remember, every day counts, and missing just one or two days a week can quickly add up.

For senior students aiming to complete their Certificate this year, now is the time to focus on finishing your work and submitting it. Teachers are currently busy compiling and reviewing assignments to ensure that everyone planning to finish knows exactly what they need to do to complete. Please be on the lookout for any calls or messages in the coming weeks. For junior students, now is the time to maintain your consistency and effort. As always we are aiming to grow your literacy and numeracy skills, and the best way to achieve this is through regular attendance and engagement.

Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you need any support.

VET

Alt VET Cert II in Workplace skills – Congratulations to the 16 students who have successfully completed the first of 2 units this year. Students learnt important skills for good communication in the workplace. They are now one step closer to achieving a credit towards their secondary school certificate. Well done for listening to me rabbiting on for hours.

Dave.
